Nobody was rude and our experience was pleasant but food was good and service poor so overall experience was very average. With such strong reviews I expected it to be a much more polished experience. The brownie was dry and the only good item we didn’t enjoy. When desserts arrived (again had to request attention to actually make an order) we had to ask for spoons which took a while for them to arrive. No one checked in to see if we needed anything else. We wanted drinks on two further occasions and had to request their attention to get the order and on both occasions we then had to further request that someone actually brought our drinks from the bar as we could see them sitting there for quite a while. When order was taken, it was a long time until half our drinks arrived - I had to ask about 15 minutes later before the bottle of wine came (slipped their minds). It was the service that was such a let down for me, we were sat a long time before anyone took our order. Overall the food was nice - we had a range of starters and mains and it was all good, none of it I would deem exceptional but. Visited here as it is local and I was back home for a few days and reviews positive.
